Overview
Mehtex offers three distinct aluminium die casting processes — High-Pressure Die Casting (HPDC / PDC), Gravity Die Casting (GDC) enabling us to serve a wide range of component sizes, complexities and end-use requirements.
PDC — Pressure Die Casting (HPDC)
High-Pressure Die Casting is the cornerstone of our production capability. Molten aluminium is injected at high velocity and pressure into hardened steel dies, producing components with superior surface finish, excellent dimensional uniformity and optimum mechanical properties.
- Component weight range: 1 gm to 6 kg (single piece)
- 13 machines ranging from 120 to 660 tons
- Machine brands: HMT, Toshiba, Yomato
- High-volume production with tight tolerances
- Excellent surface finish, reducing post-processing requirements
- Complex geometries with thin walls achievable
- Consistent mechanical properties across production runs
GDC — Gravity Die Casting
Gravity Die Casting is one of Mehtex’s foundational strengths. Using the force of gravity to fill the die, GDC produces components with dense microstructure and excellent structural integrity — ideal for parts requiring higher strength and reduced porosity compared to HPDC.
Our tilt-pour machines and shell resin core facility allow us to produce complex-cored castings that would be impossible with conventional gravity techniques.
- Component weight range: 1 kg to 40 kg+
- Tilt-pour machine facility
- Shell resin core facility for complex internal geometries
- Lower tooling cost compared to HPDC for medium-volume requirements
- Excellent surface quality and mechanical properties
- Complex internal cavities achievable via resin cores
- Suitable for thick-wall, structurally critical components
